lyrics
SOME PEOPLE TALK THE FURTHER YOU GO
DON’T GIVE EM THE PLEASURE THAT YOU KNOW
OH HONEY, IT NEVER REALLY MEANT A THING
PEOPLE FAKING THEIR FEELINGS INSIDE
TRYING TO RUN FROM A PAIN THEY HIDE
OH HONEY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT LIFE WILL BRING
CAUSE WHEN YOU’RE GONE, LONG GONE, YOU’RE OUT OF HERE
FUNNY HOW IT CHANGES AT THE TURN OF A DIME
YOU’RE ON THE RIGHT TRACK THEN YOU’RE OUT OF TIME
OH HONEY, JUST TELL ME THAT IT MEANS SOMETHING
SOMEDAYS GET DARK YOU GOTTA YOUR SWALLOW PRIDE
DON’T LET IT BREAK YOU TAKE IT ALL IN STRIDE
OH HONEY, I KNOW IT’S GOT TO MEAN SOMETHING
CAUSE WHEN YOU’RE GONE, LONG GONE, YOU’RE OUT OF HERE
FUNNY HOW IT CHANGES AT THE DROP OF A HAT
YOU’RE GONNA GET LOST RUNNING ROUND LIKE THAT
OH HONEY, WE ALWAYS KNEW WHERE WE BELONGED
CAUSE WHEN YOU’RE GONE, LONG GONE, YOU’RE OUT OF HERE

Entire album is excellent. As is the rest of the catalog. Go back to 1970...take the Dead and Floyd and roll them up. Yet completely different.
Just plain old GOOD MUSIC. Ed Fransko
If Wooden Shjips traded their sails for a prairie schooner, this is what you might hear them playing around the campfire at night on the Great Plains: homespun country-rock with a hint of psychedelia. Wonderful stuff, from start to finish. neu-mann
A very clever songwriter and an album that bears many, many repeat listens. Worth the price for the Little Feat reference (in Tehachapi) alone, but it's her way with an image that sticks longest. "You left the building in a flurry / Had your boots on in the house." Caoimhín
Her voice, the vulnerability within, and a glorious sound, not overproduced but natural. 'Tender Heart' gets me - resonates in a way that is sad and glorious simultaneously. Discordant guitars behind a clean acoustic and voice ballad. Love her voice, her lyrics. Great album. BikeBoy29
